TV Shows are Back

Finally, after months of silence, I was pleased to discover that The Simpsons is going on to their 18th season now (bravo), Family guy is starting its 6th, and American Dad, a basic clone of Family Guy with a bit more silliness is also starting its 3rd. Nothing extraordinary in these new episodes although Family Guy had the “harshest” line against Bush. In one scene, when Lois, the mother, starts having thoughts of infanticide, she wakes up in horror and exclaims:

Oh no! I’m just like that woman in Texas who put her son’s head in the water to make him retarded - Barbara Bush!

That’s not a word per word quote but it’s pretty close. Anyways, I wouldn’t be surprised if this weekend’s audience was off the charts for the respective television broadcasters. Another sign that it’s “back to school” for most people.  smirk
